While I’m enormously proud of the work that we at ROAR AFRICA do to support and empower the conservation of our wild spaces and the African communities in which we work, I know that I need to do more and be more.

Known as a museum without walls, the desert town of Graaff-Reinet, is set to become South Africa’s Marfa.

Last week’s webinar ‘The Power of Support – Lifting Africa when the World Rebounds’ – was a discussion on how travel is an enforcement for good and how much Africa needs us to come back when its safe.

One sentiment that was echoed throughout our robust conversation, was the strong desire and the dire need for American travelers to return to Africa.

The idea was simple enough…why not create an experiential learning journey for women, led by women?

I’ve always been a firm believer in the enormous power of our collective will – in that when we as a global community achieve consensus on what is important – change is inevitable.

Just as the mighty oak’s destiny is written in a tiny acorn, Joseph Dhafana is proof positive that there is more to life than can be explained by genetics or environment.
