The Greatest Safari on Earth was designed in response to a request we heard time and again from our guests: to experience the very best of Africa within a single journey. Given the sheer scale of the continent and the extraordinary diversity of its wild landscapes, cultures and communities, this is no small undertaking. It is precisely here that our generations of lived experience and the knowledge of an all-African team make the difference.

After a lifetime spent moving through Africa, I have learned that the continent cannot be hurried. Every landscape has its own season, its own rhythm and its own moment of revelation. Knowing when to arrive, how long to remain and when to move on is what allows this journey to feel not constructed, but inevitable. Departing just twice a year, this journey brings these moments together in a sequence that gives each one greater meaning—shaped by what has come before and the anticipation of what lies ahead.

The places you stay are as carefully considered as the journey itself. Each lodge—Matetsi Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Xigera Safari Lodge in Botswana, Angama Mara in Kenya, and Singita Kwitonda and One&Only Gorillas Nest (your lodge in Rwanda is dictated by the dates of the journey you reserve) in Volcanoes National Park—has been selected not only for its exceptional comfort and service, but for its position within the landscape, the privacy it affords and the access it makes possible.
