A word on budget: Your investment is driven mostly by the accommodation choices and travel season and then usually, to a lesser extent, by the selected activities on the ground. You can expect to pay anything from $500 to $1000 per day depending on your chosen destinations and activities (which could for instance consist of more expensive items such as personalized hot-air balloon safaris and helicopter flips). The dollar amounts for the samples below exclude international airfares but do include internal flights and assume some degree of ongoing private guiding. Most safari lodges are fully inclusive of game viewing trips and all meals but activity costs vary elsewhere.
